Will Conrad is a lighting designer and electrical engineer with experience crafting light within performing arts and architectural spaces. They specialize in light modeling, arts administration, and full gamut production as well as projects that engage the community and amplify underrepresented voices.
Will has been recognized for their work, receiving Best Lighting Design twice from the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild for their work on Everybody and As You Like It, both competition pieces presented at the state level. They've also received the UVA Arts Council Distinguished Artist Award in Drama, the Daniel Kearns Scholarship, and the Raven Society Drama Scholarship for their work in theatre lighting, as well as being chosen as a finalist for the prestigious Sky Alland Scholarship, which recognizes enterprising third-years.
Will currently serves as the technical director for First Year Players, the oldest musical theatre organization at UVA, and as President of the Virginia Players, the student wing of the UVA Department of Drama.
