Will is a fourth year student at UVA studying electrical engineering and drama. In their spare time, they are a student lighting designer pursuing projects that engage the community and amplify underrepresented voices.
Will has been recognized for their work, receiving Best Lighting Design twice from the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild for their work on Everybody and As You Like It, both competition pieces presented at the state level. They've also received the Daniel Kearns Scholarship and Raven Society Drama Scholarship for their work in theatre lighting, as well as being chosen as a finalist for the prestigious Sky Alland Scholarship, which recognizes enterprising third-years.
Will currently serves as the technical director for First Year Players, the oldest musical theatre organization at UVA, and as President of the Virginia Players, the student wing of the UVA Department of Drama.
They are currently serving as Lighting Design Intern at Buro Happold Engineers in New York City this summer.
Past associations include METG, Lyric Stage Company, Firehouse Center for the Arts, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, and Virginia Theatre Festival.
